Karen resides on a farm near the small town of Stark City, Missouri. She has been married fourteen years to supportive husband Gary. The couple have been blessed with a nine-year old son, Hunter and a seven-year old daughter, Sydney. Karen helps Gary on their farm, where they raise beef cattle. The whole family loves hunting and camping, but fishing is their passion.

Karen has always loved to fish. As a child she enjoyed fishing with her family on ponds and small lakes. After she married, fishing became her favorite hobby. Together with Gary, Karen has been fishing for the last 14 years.

In 2006, Karen began fishing in the Women's Bassmaster Tour. Her competitive fishing has taken her from Texas to North Carolina. Karen finished twelfth overall in the WBT, which qualifies her for the 2007 Women's Bassmaster Classic. She looks forward to fishing competitively in the future and would like to thank everyone for their support.
